Tape Op is Now on the iPad!!
Tape Log Entry #213
Tape Op: Now in Both Analog & Digital Flavors.
It's been a long time coming, but we are really excited to announce that Tape Op is now officially available worldwide on the iPad! Among other things, with the Tape Op iPad app you will be able to:
- Download complete issues to your device and read without the need for an internet connection (we made sure to find the proverbial "image compression sweet spot" so downloads are generally fast and painless but quality is preserved.)
- Store and access any or all of our back issues.
- Instantly buy and download any single issue from our catalog, year-long subscriptions, or Tape Op books.
- Search the content of our full archives to find what issues have what you're looking for.
(note: we have been working hard to locate and assemble all our old print content in digital form and are really close to have absolutely every issue of Tape Op available for both content search and download. If there is an issue that you want that is missing, rest assured it is on its way!)
Install the Tape Op app for free today, then try it out by downloading and perusing our free sample issue. If you like it, select and download additional issues for $1.99 each. Yearly digital subscriptions (6 issues per year) can be purchased for $5.99 for the year and will automatically renew at the end of the year. A digital version of Tape Op: THE BOOK ABOUT CREATIVE MUSIC RECORDING, VOL. II (essentially the content of issues 11-20) is also available for $15.99. The first volume (issues 1-10) is on it's way and will be available very shortly!
Thanks as always for reading our humble mag (in any format),
-Larry, John and the Tape Op staff
p.s. A special thanks needs to go out to our indefatigable production manager/full-time ninja Scott McChane for pretty much single-handedly reassembling our entire back issue archives and our awesome app company, Nov8rix, for making this whole thing remotely possible in the first place.
