Viva Voce recently moved to Portland from Nashville, and consist of the married team of Kevin and Anita Robinson. They recorded this CD at home on a "pimped-out PC with a Terratec card eight I/Os and mainly used Nuendo for tracking and mixing, but with a little love from many other apps. Kevin mixed it with Russ Fox and Matt Gingerich at Broadmoor Recording in Huntington, WV. For a home made CD this thing sounds huge at times, as on "Yr Epic Heart" with it's crashing drums and big guitars. A sonically exciting record that shows the hours spent performing and tweaking to perfection can pay off. Mastering, once again, was by Emily Lazar with the amazing Sarah Register at The Lodge.

Tape Op is a bi-monthly magazine devoted to the art of record making.
