August 17th marked the release of a new Joe Meek restrospective.

The full album's title is Joe Meek: From Taboo to Telstar 1962: A Year In The Life of 304 Holloway Road (Joe Meek's Tea Chest Tapes).
This is not necessarily "new" music from legendary pioneer producer/engineer Joe Meek (Tape Op #100), but it is a collection worth a listen for hardcore fans of his work. It includes outtakes, demos, and alternate versions of many of his classic productions including "Taboo" and "Telstar". This collection boasts a whopping 90 tracks, so give yourself ample time to digest all that is there!
I put it on while thumbing through the Barry Cleveland book, Joe Meek's Bold Techniques, and it was an enjoyable way to spend some listening time, checking out the cool pics, and reading about Meek's sessions, some history, and his unique recording techniques.
Tape Op is a bi-monthly magazine devoted to the art of record making.
