MFNW Music & Technology Panel Announced for Portland Digital eXperience

August 16, 2012 - Portland, OR -- The first year of Portland Digital eXperience at the 2012 MFNW will feature a special music and technology panel with some of Portland's most esteemed music professionals. The discussion with be led by Banana Stand Media's Aaron Colter and focus on the intersection of technology and music within the city's vibrant startup and D.I.Y. communities.

Confirmed panelists include:

Larry Crane- owner of Jackpot! Recording Studios and editor of Tape Op magazine Maggie Vail- musician, activist, label manager for Bikini Kill Records, and co-executive director of the nonprofit CASH Music Jared Mees- musician and founder of label Tender Loving Empire Mike Thrasher- owner of the Hawthorne Theatre and event promoter in Portland and Seattle Robert Ham- freelance writer for Willamette Week, The Oregonian, Portland Monthly, Village Voice, and other publications Christohpher Kirkley- West African music archivist and founder of label Sahel Sounds Alicia J. The panel is set for Friday, September 7th from 3:00pm to 4:00pm at Pure Space, located at 315 NW Overton Street in Portland, Oregon.
