New Live Album From Hurray For The Riff Raff

March 20, 2026, marks the digital release of Hurray For The Riff Raff's new live album, Live Forever. There will be a physical release of the album on May 8, 2026, via Nonesuch Records. Live Forever was recorded during two sold-out shows at Chicago's Old Town School of Folk Music, featuring the entire The Past is Still Alive album (produced by Brad Cook [Tape Op #156]) and includes favorites like “Pa’lante” and “Precious Cargo.” Bandleader Alynda Segarra, who we interviewed in Tape Op # 162, describes the album as a tribute to working-class musicians and live music fans, emphasizing the vitality of human-made songs. The album was produced by Jimmy Wilson, engineered by Steve Marek, mixed by Steve Marek and Jimmy Wilson, and mastered by Heba Kadry [Tape Op #139].

Tape Op is a bi-monthly magazine devoted to the art of record making.
