New Exclusive Live Sylvan Esso EP from Qobuz

We have an interview with Sylvan Esso coming up in our November issue [Tape Op #176], but in the meantime check out this new live session, Live at Sid the Cat Auditorium, June 2026, exclusively on Qobuz, our favorite music streaming service. It’s a really fun, energetic five-song set. Besides the principals – Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn – the band is joined by Ben Lumsdaine on drums, Michael Libramento on bass, Dev Gupta on keyboards, and Jenn Wasner on guitar, keys, and backing vocals. It’s an excellent sounding recording, tracked by Will Markwell and mixed by the band's longtime engineer, Alli Rogers.

The band shared some more info on the EP and had this to say: “We’re excited to share some of our favorite performances from the L.A. residency we did at Sid the Cat Auditorium back in June. What you hear are our first experiences playing songs from Ow ∞ live with the amazing band we put together to tour this album. We couldn’t be more proud to share them exclusively on Qobuz; a streaming service made up of real music fans, sharing hand-selected music that sounds amazing, and that artists are well compensated for. It’s been super cool to hear from so many of our fans who have gotten into the platform lately. Long live Qobuz!”
