The Daily Adventures of Mixerman

REVIEWED BY Larry Crane

ISSUE NO. 44 November 16, 2004

Here it is, the complete Mixerman diaries as seen on prosoundweb.com, with an added closing chapter, all published as a hardcover book. The fable of Bitch Slap and their incredible studio shenanigans is one of the best examples of what could go haywire in the world of big- budget album making. I reread this entire book after having read it online, and Mixerman did a great job of cleaning up the writing and clarifying a few things, especially for the reader who might not be studio-savvy, including a studio glossary in the back! Why do you need this if you've read the diaries online? Not just because it will look really smart sitting in your studio or recording space, but because you know this is a good read and one of the best studio stories ever.
