Harry Styles Live From Funkhaus

Harry Styles Live From Funkhaus

Tape Op publisher John Baccigaluppi came across this beautifully shot, long-form video of Harry Styles live in session at Berlin's Funkhaus studio. Performing orchestral versions of songs from his latest release, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally, Harry Styles, along with a string section and a band that includes Kid Harpoon [Tape Op #172], Nils Frahm [#126], and drummer Tom Skinner (The Smile), delivers a compelling set of beautifully arranged and well-recorded songs.

The setting is drool-worthy, and the video team did an excellent job of capturing the moment. Fans of vintage gear will enjoy the selection of incredible microphones and equipment, and I personally am inspired by seeing well-rehearsed musicians playing music together in a room. I also simply love how incredibly hammered Tom Skinner's drum heads are! Top notch stuff and certainly worth a watch.

Tape Op is a bi-monthly magazine devoted to the art of record making.
