This is an interesting compilation, featuring live radio broadcasts from a local Portland show (on KBOO) from 1991 to 1998. Eternally grumpy Jay Bozich engineered most, affable host Brandon Lieberman did a few, and local recording legend Tom Robinson steps in to ably record Poison Idea. Other artists include Elliott Smith (who announces, "This is where it starts to fade out" during the end of his track!), Catpower, Cadallaca, Crackerbash, Dead Moon, Kristen Hersch, Gerladine Fibbers, Hazel and many more. The recording quality varies, and I swear you can figure out when they switched from cassette to DAT, but given that there's a lot of inspired and unreleased performances by some major talents on here the songs shine through regardless.
