Elisabeth Esselink has a record store in Amsterdam with her small studio in the basement. In there she deconstructs samples of bootlegs and records nobody wants, to make songs that she can sing over. It's a result unlike trip hop or most sampled music, and it's a very good thing. (www.matadorrecords.com)
