The Sea and Cake: One Bedroom

REVIEWED BY Larry Crane

ISSUE NO. 33 January 15, 2003

I totally respect John McEntire, and have really enjoyed some of the records he's produced, but man is this one tight, controlled digitally- worked record. It feels like everything was labored over quite a bit, I guess in my opinion sort of stiff and sterile. Then again, I listen to Kraftwerk a lot too. Recorded at Soma Electronic Music Studio in Chicago. (www.thrilljockey.com)
