Recorded live off the floor in two days (with minimal overdubs) at Fantasy Studios [Berkeley], this is Victor's "musical wake" for the passing of his father and stepfather. Imagine gathering your musical friends (like many of his Camper Van Beethoven cohorts) and doing this soon after the events had come to pass. Heavy mood and feelings. Longtime engineer, pal and co-producer Bruce Kaphan (look for an interview here soon) handled the recording as well as mixed at his home-based studio, Niagara Falls. The album feels so "right" for the mood of the songs; the spill and bleed imparts such a unique feel to the dynamics and brings in the sound of the room. Mastered by Brent Lambert at The Kitchen, Carrboro, NC. A real treat to listen to. (www.victorkrummenacher.com, www.magneticmotorworks.com) -LC
