Soulive: Rubber Soulive

REVIEWED BY Larry Crane

ISSUE NO. 80 February 13, 2014

I interviewed drummer/recordist/producer Alan Evans in issue #76, and found his positive, creative attitude infectious. Here the band delivers instrumental versions of Beatles songs (not all from Rubber Soul, and not live in front of an audience, as I assumed at first) tracked in four days at Alan's Playonbrother Studio in MA. Some cool interpretations, a fun listen and I bet even your parents might dig this! Mastered by Paul Gold at Salt Mastering in Brooklyn, NY.
