Lisle Ellis: Sucker Punch Requiem

REVIEWED BY John Baccigaluppi

ISSUE NO. 67 February 12, 2014

This is a post modern homage to the late, great artist, Jean-Michel Basquiat. Heavy on the electronics (but not laptop music), this was performed by a small ensemble with woodwinds, brass, percussion and piano and recorded in just two days at Systems Two in Brooklyn, by Michael Marciano. Mastered by Tom Hamilton. www.lisleellis.com
