Our friend and Tape Op contributor
left us one year ago today on August 26, 2019.

Since then, a team of his close friends dug into the archive of music and photography he left behind to create items raising awareness and funds for the newly formed Neal Casal Music Foundation (NCMF), a 501c3 charity organization. The initial focus of the 501c3 non-profit is to provide music instruments and lessons to students in New Jersey and New York state schools where Casal was born and raised.
NCMF will also donate a large portion of proceeds to MusiCares, Backline, and other mental health organizations for musicians. This was a specific wish of Nealās and they have already donated over $25,000 to MusiCares from their fundraiser at the Capitol Theatre tribute concert for Neal on September 25, 2019.
