Dante Fumo, editor: Harmonic Content (magazine)

REVIEWED BY Larry Crane

ISSUE NO. 168

Subtitled a zine about sound, this mag includes a wide array of people and thoughts and features an arty screen-printed cover. Within its 21 pages, the first issue has an interview with Tape Op pal Matt Boudreau of Working Class Audio, an article with Kirsten Izer and Randy Belculfine discussing "Healthy Co-Production," a piece on an anonymous ambient sound collector, and an artist's manifesto (of sorts) on why they create ambient music. It's a quick read, but the editing and writing are well-executed, it's ad-free, and at Tape Op, we're always happy to see new publications reminiscent of our own past.

Tape Op is a bi-monthly magazine devoted to the art of record making.
