Quantegy , despite the oddity of still being an active link, posted this announcement recently: "Plans are being formulated for the revival of Quantegy 499 Gold Studio Mastering and GP9 Platinum Studio Mastering audio products, as well as the Black Diamond Hard Disk Drive series of products." Peter Hutt and Jahret Sylvester give their names as the people to contact. Hmmm. I do know that Peter was searching around for someone to do the manufacturing of these tapes for him, as there is no operable tape making equipment left from the Quantegy factory. And I believe that RMG said, "No." So who else has tape making capabilities? Why ATR magnetics, of course. Hmmm... I am glad that there is tape available now and in the future, with three operating decks in my studio....
